I’ve always been a go-getter, living a busy, full life—constantly moving, juggling responsibilities + chasing goals. I’ve lived many lives—an ultramarathoner, a nomad living in a converted school bus + traveling the country, and a young mother. In each phase of my life, I realized I was seeking something in particular: a sense of groundedness + peace.

While living on the road, I had a spiritual awakening in the Arizona desert. I got to spend time away from society + discover who I was as a person outside of the roles I previously lived. Eventually, my husband + I temporarily settled in Asheville, NC, where I met my mentor + became Reiki attuned in January 2019.

Three days after, I returned to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin—a place I lived for over 40 years. I found myself reverting back into the person I was before I lived on the road. It wasn’t until COVID hit that I was able to recall the feeling of that Arizona desert: a time where I felt I was able to tap into the core of who I am.

Moon+stone was inspired out of that feeling + opened for business in April 2019. I started as a Reiki practitioner out of my home, then moved into metaphysical fairs + events, and eventually discovered a small storefront in downtown historical Sturgeon Bay. The Moon+stone brick + mortar boutique opened its doors September 2021.

My goals for Moon+stone have always been to encourage community + create spaces that feel calm, serene + healing.
